Venice

I had a lovely sleep in and after doing my washing headed to breakfast. A sumptuous features! Prosecco for breakfast! A perfect start to the day.
what a feast!
Then some housekeeping and out I went.
I found my way to St Mark's Square. The last time I was hear was with Les in 1994. That time it rained. Today there was scaffolding everywhere. There's always something going on here.

there was beautiful music playing. I've got 2 videos when I can learn how to post them. 
Then I just wandered keeping the Grand Canal on my left. Always such fun and nobody telling me the history! No more tours for me for a while!
every big name is here. Obviously plenty of money around.
and him! I know he's dead but his spirit lives on.
i thought this might lead somewhere but no it didn't.

I headed back to home for a bit of a break then headed out to the railway station to see what was like in the light!
i presume that trolley thing is for bags because there were several of them. People who are used to navigating the many bridges.

it really is quite beautiful.
my afternoon walk.
I found a lovely restaurant in a square for dinner. 3 Proseccos and liver and onions venetian style was the perfect end to the day. I also got a bonus Lemoncello which was a nice touch.
