the next Intrepid Tour starts.

Abel drive me to my next hotel. It's cost 300egp  - $15 for about 5min drive. I gave Adel $5egp tip he said that wasn't enough so I gave another$5. He didn't even carry my bags down the steps. I don't like the begging!
I checked out of one hotel  into another thinking I was going to share. And I'm not 😁😁  The room is even more palatial and I have a view of the Pyramids.

Jason and Keran Melbourne  - they hated Dan. She reminds me of Kerry of Kerry and Cec. Collingwood supporters with 3 kids. He's got lots of tats!

Coralie - Sydney - talks a lot. - went to Patagonia this year. Been to 60 odd countries. Still talking. She hates Labor!!!  Only doing  the Egypt part.  She doesn't eat red meat. Eats lots of veg. 

I think she's a single supplement so I'm lucky.. 9 nights.

Merrill and Mike Adelaide football fans. Watched the grand final.

We had a welcome dinner. A get to know you.

And the next day we went to the Pyramids. They are indeed impressive. The calculations to make them incredible. The biggest one is the boss king - the smaller ones I  think brothers or children. Can't remember. I walked up as high as we were allowed then walked around the bottom. That took some time. They are very large. We both the very early so advise the crowds. A wise move. The sun was coming up.

each block was up to my chin. They are huge.
It was very hot and I wasn't feeling the best. Next thing I did a fainty thing. Only for a few secs. Mohammad helped my legs up in the air! Talk about attention seeking. I a fan given to me and child eater poured on my head. They now keep a  hawk eye on me!
We also went to the Egyptian Museum. Saw Tutankharmun - very opulent casket? Not sure what you call it. No photos allowed. So much in the museum I can't take it all in so waited outside when I got bored.

My last day in Bologna

Up early this morning for my free coffee and brioche. I did rest before I went. A delightful breakfast! the noodles were ok but I didn't drain the tuna enough so it was a bit wet - yuk! But it was protein! I thought I would walk to the railway station today to see if it was ok for tomorrow. It's an easy route which is good.  It was a lovely walk. Lots of shops but also historic sites that I would never have found otherwise. it looks like the Gateway of India. No clue. the railway station. the same gateway from the other end. It looks like a most around it with ruins - maybe Roman. those look very deep - maybe something to do with the canals. it was a fun find. the across a road there's was this.  and this? It looked like the whole lot of it was a welcome to the city. The only thing I could find was from Google maps. Bologna, Emilia-Romagna http...

I've done the packing but I've got too much stuff. Only 4 sleeps so need to sort this soon. Apart from packing there's the garden, a tree to be sorted, bookings still to be sorted..... Another day and a relook and a repack and all is well. Everything fits and the bag was easy to do up! That means room for expansion. 😊  Now it's only 2 sleeps.

A day with friends

I met Liz and Alison when I went on my 1st tour alone. Azerbaijan.  We went to Bondi Green for lunch. We celebrated with bottle of Jansz. A good place to celebrate. I missed the picture of all the Australian products made of felt. Very cute. Found this online After lunch we wandered. that's us. It was raining. they are all carrots! We then went to a pub. A very old pub! Can't find the name of it.
