Jordan

We were on our own this morning. Our boys had gone. Up at 4am - not sleeping! We had to be in the lobby for 5. We got a breakfast box - yuk!
Bus to the airport then find out way to the flight.
Flight very short and we were met by Intrepid. Visas sorted. To our hotel to get ourselves sorted for meeting at 6pm. I waited and waited for a roommate but it didn't happen.  A gay couple have joined us. So lucky again!
Our guide is another Mohammad! Born in 1963. Had 5 children - all married. He was an air traffic controller.
We went out for a welcome dinner. A huge restaurant. Lots of Jordanian cuisine.
Today was the visit toJerash, a Greco-Roman city with of course Hadrian in the picture.
The drive was spectacular. It's very hilly with houses on the slopes but also larger areas of sort of desert. They grow olives, so we saw many olive groves. In the valleys there was lots of green. There was a running river ?name which runs into the Jordan river
We had a welcome dinner  and watched a lady making the bread.
so impressive. The bread goes over the round thing which is gas lit. Cooks in seconds.
To Jaresh to a greco-roman city. Scenery along the way magnificent.
So very very impressive and so big. 1.2kms from North gate to centre. We walked out all.
A rest then off to cooking classes. A delightful experience. The boss is 29yrs old. A real entrepreneur.
The Jordanian Kitchen - she's on Facebook.
We cooked traditional Jordanian fate then are it.
we learnt how to use a knife and chop
finely.
