A tour of Budapest.

I woke up to a very dark first and pouring rain. My favourite things!
I didn't get up 'til 8.30. Daylight saving her at the moment - until this weekend.
Laszlo cake at 9.30.
Firstly to the market for food. -

A magnificent building with masses of food - meat and veg + souvenirs+ homewares. On the next floor food - so much to choose from. I had goulash soup. It was delicious. No picture!
my coffee was so good!
After the market we went to the museum you see the World Press photographic exhibition and whatever else was in.
and one from Australia.
The toilet doors at the museum
inside the toilet!
Then we saw an exhibition of Roman objects tha were found
saved then I saw this
a Daveena pride and joy!
Street that we went past the Synagogue - the largest I think in Europe. It explains the sympathy towards Israel. A large Jewish population here. Budapest tried to protect then during the war but in the end they were rounded up and sent to camps. All so terrible.

A beautiful building.
then we found another
so beautifully built.
this was a man I fancied on the train!
We meet Ildi who had driven from Szeged. Then our tour started. A beautiful drive to Banská Štiavnica. We went for a long uphill walk for dinner. Found a delightful historic place and had a wonderful dinner. I had beef goulash!

Then home to bed.

  1. That market looks amazing. Reminds me of Barcelona - so many things and everything looks so delicious. I think that man's hat is so smart to.
