London

 Back in London I'm back to my walking.

A walk over Tower Bridge and back over London Bridge. Started out at 4pm - dark in London now.




So very pretty at twilight.
We pick the kids up from school. Then let them play for a while before taking Parker to his piano lesson on Tuesdays. It's now dark! Polly, Yoki and I buy chips then Yoki does her homework!

On Wednesday they have a late day. Leah picks them up from school ( Polly works late) and I meet them at the library. I got to bring them home by myself last week. Very exciting.
On Saturday Michael, Parker and I met Polly and Yoki at Holland Park. A beautiful area.
The adventure playground was fabulous. I went on everything with Parker directing me. He is so patient and helpful. It was the best fun! Check out the website!

Sunday is been raining today. 6° (yesterday it was -4° in the early evening)  To Five Guys for hamburgers. Wonderful installations. The aim of the outing was to buy the Christmas tree.

My last day in Bologna

Up early this morning for my free coffee and brioche. I did rest before I went. A delightful breakfast! the noodles were ok but I didn't drain the tuna enough so it was a bit wet - yuk! But it was protein! I thought I would walk to the railway station today to see if it was ok for tomorrow. It's an easy route which is good.  It was a lovely walk. Lots of shops but also historic sites that I would never have found otherwise. it looks like the Gateway of India. No clue. the railway station. the same gateway from the other end. It looks like a most around it with ruins - maybe Roman. those look very deep - maybe something to do with the canals. it was a fun find. the across a road there's was this.  and this? It looked like the whole lot of it was a welcome to the city. The only thing I could find was from Google maps. Bologna, Emilia-Romagna http...

nearly there

I've done the packing but I've got too much stuff. Only 4 sleeps so need to sort this soon. Apart from packing there's the garden, a tree to be sorted, bookings still to be sorted..... Another day and a relook and a repack and all is well. Everything fits and the bag was easy to do up! That means room for expansion. 😊  Now it's only 2 sleeps.

A day with friends

I met Liz and Alison when I went on my 1st tour alone. Azerbaijan.  We went to Bondi Green for lunch. We celebrated with bottle of Jansz. A good place to celebrate. I missed the picture of all the Australian products made of felt. Very cute. Found this online After lunch we wandered. that's us. It was raining. they are all carrots! We then went to a pub. A very old pub! Can't find the name of it.
